The Apple iBook G3/700 (16 VRAM/Mid-2002 – Translucent White), is a 12.1 inch TFT XGA active-matrix display Notebook that has 20.0 GB Ultra ATA of hard drive storage, it is powered by a 700 MHz PowerPC 750fx (G3) processor and a 2X AGP ATI Mobility Radeon graphics with 16 MB MB of VRAM. It has a 8X DVD-ROM/CD-RW “Combo” drive for its standard optical drive and a single FireWire “400” port and a new hybrid A/V port that provides composite audio/video out capabilities. The variation of ports and the inclusion of a “high quality” display allowed for Apple to market the iBook as a high end personal device available to the regular consumer.
Storage
The Apple iBook device is built with 20.0 GB Ultra ATA hard drive storage. The hard drive has many reported issues after owners had dropped their devices on the ground. Due to no the lack of safety mechanisms available, the drives would fail mechanically after a hard shock or jolt.
Screen Size and Resolution
The iBook has a built-in display of 12.1 inch TFT active-matrix display with an 1024×768 native resolution and also 2nd Mirroring Display support option with a maximum 1024×768 resolution.

The Apple iBook has MacOS 9.2.2 and X 10.1.4 pre-installed in it, a 700 MHz PowerPC 750fx (G3) processor, while its graphics are supported by a 2X AGP ATI Mobility Radeon graphics with 16 MB of VRAM. The Windows OS support modules that we have come to love and expect were not available at the time of development and thus were not available for the device.

Upgradability
Although the iBook came with 128 MB of RAM it could be upgraded to up to 640 MB of RAM. The Operating System of the iBook can also be upgraded from its pre-installed MacOS 9.2.2 and X 10.1.4 up to MacOS X 10.4.11. The iBook dimensions were 3.4 cm, 28.5 cm, 23.0 cm and the device had a weight of 4.9 lbs (2.2 kg).
