About this iMac
The iMac Core 2 Duo (Integrated Graphics) computer was released in July 2006 and discontinued by September of the same year. It was short-lived and it was designed for the education market, it had all the features of the other versions released in 2006 however it differed the graphics processor, from which it also got its name – Intel GMA 950 “integrated graphics”. Another difference in this particular brand was the absence of standard Bluetooth connectivity.

The iMac Core 2 Duo had the Mac OS X 10.4.7 (8K1106) operating system pre-installed on it. It was powered by a 1.83 GHz processing speed Intel. Its graphics processor was the Intel GMA 950 “integrated graphics” which had 64 MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory of the computer.

Upgradability
Although the iMac Core 2 Duo came with 512 MB of RAM it could be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM.
The Operating System of the iMac can also be upgraded from its pre-installed Mac OS X 10.4.7 (8I2057) up to MacOS X 10.6.8. This iMac was also able to act as a host to Window OS, mainly running Windows XP SP2 (32-Bit) and more recently Windows Vista (32-Bit).
