Apple iMac PowerPC G5 2005 Specs

About this iMac

In the models released in the 2004 and 2005 period, there were a number of modifications that set The Apple iMac brand apart. A number of these features came in the form of the iMac G5. It had an Ambient Light Sensor that helped dim the sleep indicator light when there was less light available such as in a dark room. In this version, Airport for Wi-Fi connectivity wasnow standardized and is no longer an optional tag-along option. Bluetooth 2.0+EDR was now a connectivity option and was very effective as a Personal Area Network Option for file transfers. The only thing in this version of the iMac that was a step behind was the optical drive that was included, but the processor speed (now 2 GHz), the RAM size (now 512 MB) as well as the graphics card (ATI Radeon 9600 graphics with 128 MB of DDR SDRAM (AGP 8X)) were all more advanced and gave poise to this computer making it revered and sought after among desktop users during this period.
