About This iPad
The iPad 2 had several major upgrades from the iPad 1. It kept the same features of the iPad 1 but also added front and rear cameras. It had included in its makeup a 3 axis gyroscope, ambient light sensor, digital compass, a speaker and built-in microphone. It had a 512 MB RAM and 16 storage configurations. There was also the provision of a Smart Cover at an additional cost that that protects the screen when not in use and automatically wakes up the iPad 2 when the cover is removed and puts it to sleep when the cover is attached.

The iPad 2 had a 9.7 inch IPS LED-backlit display that supported a native resolution of 1024×768 at 132 ppi. Both front and rear cameras were introduced in this iPad.

The iPad 2 came with iOS 4.3 (8F190) for its operating system. It was powered by a custom Apple A5 processor running at 1.0 GHz.
The iPad 2 was equipped with a Lithium Polymer battery that supported up to 10 hours of surfing of the web on Wi-Fi, watching a video, or listening to music there was no official report on the amount of standby time that the battery could support.
