About this Mac mini
In 2018, Apple reintroduced their famous Mac mini lineup. The Mac Mini Late-2018 A1993 was met with great enthusiasm as this was the first release since Apple decided to end production of the Mac mini lineup in 2014. The Mac mini has remained a highly popular model due to its affordability and compact size, especially when compared to the only other Apple Desktop the Mac Pro.
The newer Mac Mini looks extremely similar to the older 2014 models but instead comes in Apples famous “Space Grey” color. The internal specifications have also been upgraded to much newer and powerful technology, including 8th Gen. Intel Processors, 2666 MHz DDR4 PC4-21300 SDRAM, and 128GB – 2TB onboard PCIe-based SSD storage.
2018 Apple Mac Mini Core i7 comes with a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and anIntel UHD Graphics 630 graphics processor which shares the system memory. It also comes without an internal optical drive but there are external options available. The 2018 Mac Mini features 4 USB C ports as well as 2 USB 3.1 ports and the standard HDMI, Ethernet and, headphone jack ports. It comes with a lot of connectivity options that make it a good device to work with especially with its customizable nature. The low price tag of this highly capable machine is great for those looking to enter into the Apple family without spending too much money.

The Mac Mini supports up to 3 displays with resolution support of 4096×2304 for 2 displays and a 3rd display up to 4096×2160 . Or a single display of up to 5120×2880.
Processor& Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
The Mac Mini has Mac OS X 10.14.1 pre-installed on it and is powered by a 14 nm “Coffee Lake” 3.2 GHzCore i7 (I7-8700B) processor. The graphics processor is an Intel UHD Graphics 630. Apple has chosen to utilise an integrated graphics card in an attempt to keep costs down as this is an entry-level device for the Apple line-up.

The device is built with a 12 MB on-chip level 3 cache and 8 GB of onboard 2666 MHz DDR4 PC4-21300 SDRAM. The Mac Mini can be configured at purchase to have up to 64 GB of RAM.
Upgradability
Although the Mac Mini comes with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM it can be upgraded to up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM.The Operating System of the Mac Mini can also be upgraded up to the current MacOS X.
