The a1370 Apple MacBook Air model released July 20, 2011 comes with an Intel 1.8 GHz Core i7 processor (I7-2677M). It is equipped with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics processor that makes use of 384 MB system memory. Being the successor of the launch model, some of the major upgrades include the swapping out of the hard drive for solid state storage. This allows the model to become more portable and less fragile. This MacBook Air comes with either 128 GB or 256 SSD of flash storage. This is a major upgrade from the previous generation. The inclusion of an SSD prevents damage to the device from drops or sudden jolts. It has also allowed Apple to reduce the size of the device drastically.

This MacBook Air sub-notebook has an 11.6” widescreen TFT LED-backlit active-matrix glossy display and a 1366 x 768 native resolution. The inclusion of a smaller screen size helped the device find a niche in its industry and further emphasized its portability.
