After the PowerBook era, Apple re-entered into the sub-notebook category by introducing the MacBook Air in 2008. The first version of the MacBook Air released October 14, 2008. This device is powered by a 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (SL9400). It is also accompanied by a 2 GB RAM of onboard 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM with 128 GB Solid-State Drive (SSD) hard drive packed into a 0.16-0.76 inch body that weighs approximately 3lbs.
