The iPad Air was created with an “Air” feel in mind when compared to the size of the traditional iPad versions – it was designed 20% thinner and 28% lighter than the iPad 3rd and 4th generations. Featuring Apple's beautiful silver aluminum finish. Even though it was made smaller, it was still able to carry out both creative and consumption tasks and its “Air” feel was an advantage. Apple was able to preserve any of the functionality in the device previously seen from the original iPad line-up.
